And what is a Norwegian Buhund? It is a very rare, mid-size breed of dog used originally for herding sheep and cattle in the rugged mountains of Norway.
Zodiac Ranch is also a source for other animals from time to time
Alpacas are the most exciting new type of livestock hitting the market today. You may be curious about learning more about these intriguing creatures.
Zodiac Ranch was established in 1990, as a breeding farm specializing in the beautiful Peruvian Horse. In 1997 we became involved in the rare herding breed of dog called the Norwegian Buhund. We acquired our first alpacas in 2002, and quickly built our herd of huacaya alpacas. Today we are one of the largest alpaca farms in Michigan, and are well known across the country for the quality of our animals. Our greatest satisfaction comes from watching our little "stars" excel in the showring, but above all, being cherished pets.
Here at Zodiac Ranch, we concentrate on breeding only top quality animals, to ensure you years of enjoyment from your new pet. Our philosophy is that it does not take any more to care for the best, so why settle for second rate?
